What is fascia and why does it need releasing?
Fascia covers the whole of the inside of our body from head to toe, connecting every single bone, muscle, nerve, artery, vein and organ. It is a dense substance that looks a bit like a spiders web.
Physical or even emotional trauma can cause the fascia to become denser and tensor and unless it is released this can cause restrictions or even pain in our bodies.
Many people suffering from pain or lack of movement may benefit from Myofascial Release. This is technique that uses slow, gentle and sustained pressure which allows the fascia to release.
At Piloga Fitness I use a series of movements and techniques working with special balls that are designed to help the fascia release.
